About us: The Duke Student Center for Integrated Education Research and Development (CIERD) is searching for student representatives from different schools and departments The mission of our Center is to serve the graduate and professional student community interested in interdisciplinary research, to foster interaction and intellectual exchange between students from various departments at Duke University and to facilitate integration of different educational and research fields.
In order to meet our objectives, the Center will: establish a network of department representatives throughout the university to facilitate exchange of information between graduate and professional students; continuously update online resources on the CIERD website to provide education and research related information as well as to enhance student communication; and establish contacts with local industrial research companies designing products based on high end technology in interdisciplinary fields (i.e. medicine and engineering).
The role of department representatives will be to advocate the professional interests of students in their programs; help CIERD to coordinate activities; promote student participation in CIERD projects; and to help in distributing  organization related information to their departments.
