What's the Point?  To increase the contribution of our organization and to better serve the student community, CIERD will define new leadership through the forthcoming elections.  Nominations will begin January 29th and will continue until the available positions have been filled. - To nominate students please visit: http://cierd.pratt.duke.edu/nominate.htm

New to CIERD?   Started in April of 2004, CIERD, the Center for Integrated Education, Research, and Development, helps students network among themselves, find collaborators and topics and presents forums and symposiums on interdisciplinary research & education. The purpose of CIERD reaches beyond facilitating students' research but also encompasses educational and career development.     Past CIERD events included:

• Grant Writing Workshop
• Interdisciplinary Research Discussion Sessions
• Resume Contest
• Nano- and Biotechnology Symposium
• Academic Networking Workshop
• Duke Research Laboratory Tours .
