CIERD currently represents a consortium of thirteen departments and programs at Duke University . Department representatives will advocate the professional interests of students in their program; help CIERD coordinate activities and promote student participation in CIERD projects. The Executive Committee is the principal unit of CIERD and is responsible for leading CIERD and managing its activities. The Executive Committee will control CIERD's finances and budget, programs and events, communications and membership.
