A. PURPOSE OF THE VICE-CHAIR STUDENT RELATIONS

The Vice –Chair for Students relation will collaborate with CIERD project leaders in order to build strong relationships with new student members. The person responsible for this position will ensure the growth of CIERD through continuous student recruitment.

B. ACTIVITIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES

• Work with CIERD projects leaders helping them to manage volunteers
• Incorporate recruitment of new members into CIERD projects
• Keep and maintain directory of members
• Design member incentives
• Help to build strong relationships with new student members.
• Plan CIERD outreach programs
• Monitor, record, analyze and report on activities with regard to recruitment and membership

C. QUALIFICATION/EXPERIENCE PROFILE

• Excellent verbal and written communications skills
• Superior presentation and negotiation skills
• Able to see things from the other person's point of view
• Capacity to manage change in a positive way
• Ability to work in a team and prioritize tasks
• Good implementation skills
